Organized by the Network for early career researchers in sustainability transitions (NEST)
Hosts:
Verena Hermelingemeier – TransZent, Wuppertal University
Adriaan van der Loos – Copernicus Institute of Sustainable Development, Utrecht University
The Newcomers’ session is organized every year at the International Sustainability Transitions conference (IST) as a platform to welcome, connect, network and engage with newcomers to the field of sustainability transitions. The Network for early career researchers in sustainability transitions (NEST) organizes the event, but it is by no means restricted to early career researchers; rather, it is open to everyone who is curious to learn more about the world of sustainability transitions, including senior researchers from other fields of study.
We have invited a number of experts from the field to join us and you will have the chance to meet them in a personal and low barrier setting. Similar to the previous Newcomers’ sessions, we will first have two short ‘input’ talks by senior researchers. After, we will have a “library session”, in which you have the chance to meet the experts (“books”) of your choosing in two rounds of breakout sessions. We hope to see you all there!
When: Tuesday 18th August 17:30 – 19:30
