Being a transformation agent in practice
Developing a transformative theory of change for sustainable systems
This online training event is hosted by EIT Climate-KIC and the Transformative Innovation Policy Consortium (TIPC). Together, they initiated the MOTION-project to develop and test methodologies for systemic change. This training offers an introduction into the TIPC-MOTION methodology, and continues with a group work session to help participants enable the transformative potential their project (portfolio) can make in systems change.

About the trainers
The MOTION project is initiated by Professor Johan Schot (Utrecht University Centre for Global Challenges). Schot is professor of Global History and Sustainability Transitions at Utrecht University, and director of the Transformative Innovation Policy Consortium. He is widely recognised as a leading expert in the field of socio-technical systems change and sustainability transitions. Schot previously held positions at Eindhoven University of Technology and University of Sussex, where he was director of the Science Policy Research Unit (SPRU). For more information see his website.
Schot will open the training with an interactive introduction. Facilitation during the interactive group sessions is provided by the MOTION team.
Practical information and registration
The training is an IST side event. Registration to the IST conference is not required. The training is part of the MOTION-project and is free of charge for participants. Limited places are available. Register before 11 August via the online registration form.
